Qualifications

• Current license as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice.
• Credentialed as a Certified Respiratory Therapist.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification for NICU therapists.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) must be obtained within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and advanced therapeutic procedures.
• Reviews and documents all clinical information regarding patients.
• Educates patients and co-workers on procedures and treatment plans.
• Performs diagnostic procedures.
• Provides appropriate care based on patient criteria.
• Maintains professional certifications and knowledge of procedures.
• Attends staff meetings.
• Performs other related duties as required.
