Job summary

Stancehealthsolutions is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to deliver, set up, and train patients on respiratory equipment, including CPAP, BIPAP, and ventilators. The RT will represent the company professionally in all interactions with clients and patients.

The role requires California licensure, 2+ years of RT experience, and the ability to manage multiple tasks, train caregivers, and respond to emergencies. On-site work with potential on-call duties is expected.

Description

Position Overview:

The Respiratory Therapist (RT) is responsible for the delivery, set‑up and training of patients with respiratory equipment and for providing quality patient services. The RT will represent the company in a professional and courteous manner in all interactions with clients and patients.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Deliver and set‑up respiratory equipment/services. Equipment includes but is not limited to CPAP, BIPAP, suction unit, apnea monitor, and ventilator.
  • Demonstrate equipment and give proper training to patients and caregivers.
  • Pick up equipment when use is disconnected.
  • Clean and test equipment to make it patient‑ready.
  • Answer patient phone calls and follow up with patients, administrators, and physicians.
  • Assist warehouse team as needed.
  • Pull supplies for mail delivery.
  • Schedule appointments with patients.
  • Troubleshoot equipment as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Must participate in mandatory on‑call and call‑back program to respond to emergencies.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Valid California Respiratory Care Practitioner or Registered Respiratory Therapist license.
  • 2+ years experience as a Respiratory Care practitioner.
  • Excellent organization, follow‑up skills, and the ability to multi‑task.
  • Demonstrated ability to listen and communicate in an empathetic manner.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and tactfully, both orally and in writing.
  • Basic insurance/contract understanding.
  • Ability to read and understand sleep study reports.
  • Self‑starter, motivated and detail‑oriented.
  • Ability to resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Adhere to all safety and compliance regulations.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license in good standing.
  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays if needed.

Incumbents require sufficient mobility to walk, stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; operate office equipment including the use of a computer keyboard; exert required physical effort to perform moderate to heavy physical work, typically involving some combination of climbing and balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling; push, pull, lift, and/or carry moderate to heavy amounts of weights; operate assigned equipment and vehicles; ability to verbally communicate to exchange information.

  • Strength Aspects:
  • Frequently required to stand and lift objects from 1” to 36” high.
  • Body Position and Flexibility Elements:
  • Ability to lift patients using biomedical techniques frequently throughout the course of a work day/shift; must be capable of easily lifting fifty (50) pounds of weight alone.
  • Ability to push wheeled equipment throughout the facility.
  • Fine motor skills adequate for scheduling and preparing patients, equipment, and supplies for treatment.
  • Frequently required to bend down at the waist to a torso level of 24” above the floor.
Vision

See in the normal visual range with or without correction; vision sufficient to read computer screens and printed documents; and to operate assigned equipment.

Hearing

Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
