Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of AMA Respiratory Therapy program.
• TN state licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
• Current CPR certification.
• Ability to work with neonate, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient records before sessions and records required information.
• Administers IPPB, oxygen/mist therapy, chest physiotherapy and related treatments as ordered.
• Assesses patients to determine therapy appropriateness and recommends changes.
• Performs procedures including arterial punctures, pulmonary function tests and bronchoscopy assistance.
• Documents care and ensures accurate charging and data entry.
• Manages care across hospital areas and responds to emergencies as needed.
