As a Respiratory Therapist, you'll provide life-saving care to patients with cardiopulmonary conditions. You'll work under physician direction to deliver advanced respiratory therapies and support across a variety of settings - from the ICU to the OR, ED, and beyond.
Administer advanced therapies such as Nitric Oxide and Tracheal Gas Insufflation
Perform procedures including bronchoscopy, ABG lab troubleshooting, pulmonary function tests, EEG, EKG, stress testing, and more
Monitor patient responses and adjust treatments accordingly
Assist in transporting ventilated patients and respond to emergency code situations
Serve as a mentor and resource for students and junior staff
Step into a leadership role when needed, functioning as Lead Therapist in the absence of a supervisor

In lieu of an Associate's degree, candidates must have 5-7 years of experience or hold NBRC certification
Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field is preferred
Minimum of 2 years of total respiratory care experience, including at least 1 year in critical care
Must complete one approved department project annually, with the first project approved within 3 months of hire
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
Therapists credentialed after July 1, 2002 must maintain NBRC certification
Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
If practicing in Maryland, a Maryland Respiratory Therapist license is required
Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification (AHA-compliant, including didactic and skills demonstration) within 30 days of hire
