Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas, is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide prescribed respiratory therapies and participate in advanced diagnostic testing and patient assessments.

The role may require serving as a preceptor for less experienced therapists; Texas licensure (RRT) and NBRC registration are required, along with BLS/ACLS/PALS, and NRP within 90 days.

• 1 year full-time or 3 years part-time experience in acute care preferred.
• Licensed as a RRT by the Texas Medical Board and NBRC registration.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS required; NRP within 90 days of employment.

POSITION SUMMARY:

To provide therapeutic modes of respiratory treatments to all patients. In addition to duties of a certified respiratory therapist, may perform advanced diagnostic testing, patient assessment, and intervention. Serves as a preceptor for other therapists.

Qualifications

• A minimum of an associate degree from a respiratory therapy education program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care unless licensure was obtained prior to November 11, 2009.
• One year full time or three years part time experience in acute care setting preferred.
• Licensed as a RRT by the Texas Medical Board and registered by NBRC.
• BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS, and PALS Healthcare Provider course according to RQI program guidelines must be completed during new hire orientation prior to working in a clinical setting. NRP within 90 days of employment.
