Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor Degree from an AMA approved Respiratory program.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) granted by The National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) required
• State of CT Respiratory Care Practitioner license required
• BLS certification required

Responsibilities

• Administers respiratory therapy, including oxygen and other medical gases, aerosolized medications, positive pressure devices, ventilators, and resuscitation equipment.
• Performs pulmonary diagnostic procedures and assessments.
• Applies developmental considerations to provide age-specific treatments and care.
• Demonstrates efficiency across clinical/critical care settings and collaborates with the health care team.
• Participates in additional training or certification to work in specialized clinical areas.
