Job summary

Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our team on a full-time basis, with a $10,000 sign-on bonus. The role includes treating patients with breathing disorders, performing diagnostic tests, and collaborating with physicians to plan and adjust therapies.

A PA state RRT license (or temporary) and BLS are required, with CRT credential to be obtained within 6 months.

Qualifications

Graduate of a School of Respiratory Therapy.
Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license in PA or temporary license.
Must attain Certified Respiratory Therapist credential within 6 months of hire.
Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

Perform respiratory therapy procedures per physician order and policy.
Set up, maintain, and monitor oxygen delivery devices and systems.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patients for respiratory therapy.
Determine effectiveness of therapies and consult physicians as needed.
Collaborate with physicians and nurses on pulmonary management and policy development.
Educate nursing staff, physicians, residents, and students on respiratory care.
Initiate/maintain non-invasive ventilation and evaluate patient response.
Participate in rounds across units to discuss patient management.
Respond to Rapid Response Alerts as part of the Rapid Response Team.
Perform arterial blood gas punctures and related procedures.
