We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our clinical team at a skilled nursing facility in Florida. In this role, you will provide respiratory care services that help residents manage chronic pulmonary conditions, recover from acute illnesses, and improve their overall quality of life.

As an RRT, you will work closely with physicians, nursing staff, rehabilitation professionals, and other healthcare team members to deliver high-quality respiratory therapy services and promote positive resident outcomes.

What You’ll Do

• Assess residents with respiratory and cardiopulmonary conditions.
• Administer respiratory treatments, oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and other prescribed therapies.
• Monitor respiratory status and report changes in condition to the appropriate healthcare providers.
• Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment, including oxygen delivery systems and related devices.
• Educate residents, families, and staff on respiratory care techniques and treatment plans.
• Assist in developing and implementing individualized respiratory care plans.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of treatments, assessments, and resident responses.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support resident care and recovery goals.
• Follow infection control, safety, and regulatory guidelines related to respiratory therapy services.

Qualifications

Required

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• Current Florida Respiratory Therapist license in good standing.
• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
• Current BLS certification.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Preferred

• Experience in a skilled nursing facility, long-term care, rehabilitation center, hospital, or post-acute care setting.
• Experience managing residents with COPD, pneumonia, tracheostomies, and other respiratory conditions.
• Knowledge of Medicare, skilled nursing regulations, and respiratory documentation requirements.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.
