Job summary

Holy Family Medical Center in Des Plaines, IL seeks a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in a full-time Night shift. Relocation assistance is available for candidates relocating from outside Illinois.

Salary range is $1,323–$1,917 per week on a 36-hour schedule, with a $15,000 sign-on bonus and a competitive benefits package. Responsibilities include administering respiratory treatments, managing ventilators, conducting pulmonary diagnostics, and documenting care in the EMR.

Qualifications

• State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License required
• Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from NBRC required
• 2 years experience as an RCP preferred.
• ACLS certificate within 60 day of hire and maintain current.
• NRP certificate preferred
• PALS certificate within 60 days of hire and maintain current.
• Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments (oxygen, aerosol, airway management)
• Manage ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, and high-flow oxygen systems
• Perform pulmonary diagnostics (ABGs, PFTs)
• Implement patient-specific respiratory care plans
• Document care in the EMR
• Respond to code blue and rapid response events
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient outcomes
• May serve as Lead RCP during assigned shifts

Salary Range: $1,323 – $1,917 per week (base gross), based on a 36-hour (3x12-hour) schedule; equivalent to $36.77 – $53.26 per hour.
