Corpus Christi Medical Center - Bay Area is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for the Night Shift in Corpus Christi, TX. Join a team of 20 RTs providing care in ICU, ED, and NICU, with 12-hour night shifts and rotating weekends.

Responsibilities include patient assessments, therapies, airway management, and ventilation support, with emphasis on education for patients and families. Requires Texas RCP license and NBRC RRT, plus ACLS/BLS certifications.

• Ensure proper setup, cleaning, and storage of respiratory equipment.

Job Description

Join our team in the Respiratory Therapy department, providing essential care in various units including Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Emergency Department (ED), and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). You'll be part of a dedicated team of 20 respiratory therapists, ensuring optimal patient care and respiratory support.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and administer therapies such as oxygen and aerosol medications.
• Assist with bronchoscopies and the placement of artificial airways.
• Monitor and maintain mechanical ventilation, responding to emergency patient situations.
• Provide education to patients and their families regarding respiratory care.
• Ensure proper setup, operation, cleaning, and storage of respiratory therapy equipment.

Required Experience

• Critical care experience with adult patients is mandatory.

Certifications/Licensure

• RCP license with Texas Medical Board.
• RRT with the National Board for Respiratory Care.
• ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
