Qualifications

• Licensed Respiratory Therapist per Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC) credential.
• Current BLS / CPR (AHA) certification.
• ACLS Certification.
• PALS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Manage ventilators and adjust settings per patient needs.
• Perform arterial punctures and assist with airway management.
• Support high-acuity Code III responses.
• Assist with bronchoscopy and endotracheal intubation.
• Deliver therapies (oxygen, aerosol, CPT, IPPB, incentive spirometry).
• Monitor equipment for safe operation.
• Educate patients and families to stay informed.
• Maintain infection control and safety standards.
• Collaborate with the care team.
