The University of Miami is seeking a Respiratory Therapist - Registered 2 to join a multidisciplinary team in Miami, FL. You will perform diagnostic tests, operate ventilators and support devices, and tailor therapy plans for patients with cardiopulmonary disorders.

You’ll educate patients and families, monitor responses to treatment, and participate in teaching staff and students. This on-site role offers a competitive benefits package and a $15,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Ability to learn new procedures, technologies, and protocols.

• Proficiency with office software and relevant computer applications.

Responsabilités

• Conduct tests such as ECGs, stress tests, and lung capacity assessments.
• Perform bronchopulmonary drainage and guide breathing exercises for patients.
• Set up and operate ventilators, gas delivery devices, and aerosol generators.
• Review prescriptions, arterial blood gases, and patient data to guide therapy.
• Determine treatment type, method, duration, and precautions; adjust as needed.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, medications, and devices; ensure understanding.
