NKC Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to administer respiratory care modalities in critical care, NICU, ED and general floors. You may perform pulmonary function testing and bronchoscopies, and serve as charge therapist as needed. The role includes potential preceptorship for students and new staff.
Required are an Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy, NBRC RRT credential, and BLS. Preference given to candidates with NRP, ACCS, ACLS, and CPFT credentials.
SUMMARY: Under the direction of the department director and guidance of the supervisor, administers all Respiratory Care modalities as ordered by physicians. Primary areas consist of critical care areas, NICU, emergency department and general floor units. Other functions may include pulmonary function testing and bronchoscopies. Acts as charge therapist when needed. Able to deliver all respiratory modalities offered by the respiratory department. Able to become a preceptor for students and new respiratory staff.
EXPERIENCE: One year preferred
SPECIAL SKILLS: NRP, ACCS, ACLS, CPFT preferred
OTHER: Current RRT by the NBRC
LICENSE/CERT: Required: BLS (Basic Life Support) from AHA (American Heart Association), CRTT (Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician)
