Job summary

Crosswalk Health is hiring Respiratory Therapists (CRT or RRT) and Pulmonary Function Technologists (CPFT or RPFT) to perform spirometry testing at primary care clinics in the Houston (Beaumont) area. This is a 1099 contractor role with a Monday–Friday daytime schedule and competitive daily pay.

Ideal candidates will have bedside spirometry experience, strong patient education skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with clinic teams.

Qualifications

• Current CRT, RRT, CPFT, or RPFT credential.
• Experience performing bedside spirometry or pulmonary function testing.
• Knowledge of respiratory therapy practices and safe albuterol administration.
• Comfortable commuting to clinics throughout a region.
• Available to work a flexible schedule.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Visit local primary care clinics to perform pre- and post-bronchodilator spirometry testing.
• Educate and coach patients to ensure accurate, high-quality results.
• Safely administer albuterol when indicated and monitor patients throughout testing.
• Grade and upload completed testing for pulmonologist review.
• Maintain testing equipment and follow quality and safety standards.
• Build trusted relationships with patients and clinic teams while representing Crosswalk Health with professionalism and compassion.
