Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital – Downtown Phoenix is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for Per Diem night shifts. You will evaluate patients, provide respiratory care for critically ill patients, and assist with endotracheal tube procedures in a university medical center setting.

Arizona licensure with NBRC credentials, BLS, and ACLS on hire are required. A minimum 2 years experience is preferred, with orientation and growth opportunities available; per diem status includes 401k eligibility after 1,000

Qualifications

• Must possess Active CRT or RRT credential from NBRC or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating patients and recommending an appropriate treatment plan.
• Providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
• Performing insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promoting continuous quality improvement.
• Teaching and counseling patients/families.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Overview

Position: Respiratory Therapist (RT) - Per Diem/ PRN

Location: located in tower two on the 11th floor of Banner University Medical Center

1111 East McDowell Road

Phoenix, Arizona

Schedule: night shift available 6:00p-6:30a

Compensation: $41.00 per hour plus shift diff

Current state licensure in Arizona as and RT is required.

• ACLS is required upon hire. (Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift)

Preferred qualifications:
