Conversio Health, LLC. is seeking a Per Diem Respiratory Therapist based in San Luis Obispo, California. The pay scale ranges from $30 to $42 per hour depending on certification, and additional compensation is offered for bilingual candidates.

Description

Conversio Health is looking for a Per Diem Respiratory Therapist to help during busy times and cover vacations if available. Hours will vary dependent on availability of candidate(s) and need of company. Work days are Monday-Friday and times typically range between 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. depending on company needs.

The Respiratory Therapist (RT) collaborates with our clinical team on developing, facilitating, training, and educating patients with chronic respiratory disease using virtual/remote technology.

This is a per diem position onsite position at our San Luis Obispo, California office that reports to the Clinical Manager.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Pulmonary Rehabilitation sessions virtually from our San Luis Obispo facility
• Provide patients with education and exercise programs
• Documents clear and concise notes in the medical record
• Maintains strong and current knowledge of pulmonary rehabilitation information via lectures, seminars, independent reading, etc.
• Complies with all company policies, federal, state, and local legal and certification requirements, as applicable
• Maintain strict confidentiality and adheres to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations

Requirements

Education and licensing expectations

• Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
• Associate's Level Degree
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license in the state of California
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC); Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential preferred
• Strong knowledge of pulmonary rehabilitation is a plus

Experience required: 1 year working as a licensed Respiratory Therapist

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Proficient understanding of medical terminology, health conditions, and regulations as they pertain to the company
• Knowledge of chronic respiratory conditions (i.e., COPD, Asthma)
• Ability to use video conferencing platforms (e.g., Microsoft Teams etc.)
• Telephonic customer service skills including the ability to make unsolicited calls (telephonic education), while maintaining good etiquette and providing accurate information
• Must have demonstrated ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills as demonstrated by the ability to communicate with coworkers and managers
• Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving patient and client experience & outcomes.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Salary Description

The pay scale for this position depends on the candidate’s level of certification. The pay scale for Certified Respiratory Therapists (CRTs) is $30-$35/hour and the pay scale for Registered Respiratory Therapists is $34-$42/hour. Additional compensation will be included for bilingual hires.
