Job summary

Select Medical in Danville, KY is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RT) for per diem shifts. The role offers 12-hour day and night shifts with compensation at $40 per hour, plus competitive shift differentials for night and weekend shifts.

As an RT, you will assess patients, provide respiratory care, manage airway procedures, and contribute to quality improvement while supporting a team of over 44,000 staff. Per diem status may lead to 401k eligibility after 1,000 hours in a year.

Qualifications

• Must possess active NBRC CRT or RRT credential or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation: college transcript/diploma or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
• BLS certification required by start date.
• Current state licensure required.
• ACLS required upon hire (agency RT must have ACLS on first shift).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and recommend an appropriate treatment plan.
• Provide respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical/surgical conditions.
• Perform insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promote continuous quality improvement.
• Teach and counsel patients and families.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Location:Danville, KY

Schedule: PRN / Per Diem, 12hr shifts, day & night shifts availableCompensation: $40 per hour

Minimum requirements:

• Must possess "Active" CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required upon hire. (Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift)

Preferred qualifications:

• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.
