The role requires a state-licensed RT (CRT or RRT) and BLS certification; ACLS is preferred. Collaboration, compassionate care, and accurate documentation are essential in this patient-centered team.

Qualifications

• Active respiratory therapist license in the practicing state.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Experience in emergency medicine or acute care settings is desirable.
• Familiar with pulmonology concepts and medication protocols.
• Strong patient assessment skills with pediatrics and geriatrics.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ respiratory status via vital signs and exams.
• Administer therapies including nebulizers and oxygen therapy.
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses to plan care.
• Care plans developed and implemented with the team.
• Document procedures, responses, and vital signs accurately.
