Job summary

GHR Healthcare is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist to deliver in-home care in Mt. Arlington and surrounding Northern NJ.

The role is permanent and on-site, with Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM hours (40 hrs/week) and mileage reimbursement for travel between patients. Ideal candidates hold NJ licensure (RRT/CRT), have 1+ year of clinical respiratory therapy experience (preferably in home health or ventilator management), and can lift equipment up to 65 lbs.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey State licensure as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT)
• Minimum 1 year of clinical respiratory therapy experience, preferably in home health, pulmonary care, or ventilator management
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and patient-centered approach

Responsibilities

• Perform in-home patient assessments and develop personalized respiratory care plans
• Provide education on oxygen therapy, airway management, inhaled medications, and home ventilator care
• Adjust ventilator settings per physician orders and monitor ventilator-dependent patients
• Troubleshoot and maintain respiratory equipment to ensure safe, optimal function
• Document services, clinical findings, and patient interactions accurately in electronic records
• Provide phone support, follow-up care, and emergency guidance for home respiratory patients
• Support training and orientation of new clinical staff and contribute to quality improvement

Required Qualifications

• Active New Jersey State licensure as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT)

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Ability to lift and transport patient equipment (minimum 65 lbs)
• Proficient with documentation technology and Microsoft Office

Key Responsibilities
