Job summary

Lincare is seeking a Respiratory Therapist / Nurse to join the team in New Jersey. The role involves setting up home medical equipment including ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP units, and oxygen concentrators, and educating patients on proper usage.

You will inspect equipment for safe operation, review prescriptions, and maintain patient records. On-call duties after hours and weekends are required depending on center size and staffing.

Qualifications

• Must be able to educate patients on proper usage of prescribed equipment.
• Setup and calibration of home medical devices.
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot CPAP/BiPAP, nebulizers and ventilators.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate home medical equipment (CPAP/BiPAP, nebulizers, oxygen concentrators, ventilators).
• Inspect and test equipment to ensure safe, efficient operation.
• Review patient information to determine appropriate treatment per physician orders.
• Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with standards.
• Remain current on respiratory homecare techniques and concepts.
• Work on-call after hours and weekends as needed.

Offering $25 to $45 per hour

Lincare is currently seeking a Respiratory Therapist / Nurse to join a growing team. This employee is responsible for the setup of home medical equipment, including ventilators, monitors, CPAP/BiPAP units, and/or other related equipment. The employee will also educate and train patients on the proper usage of prescribed equipment.

Job Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and provide education on home medical equipment that includes, but is not limited to CPAP/BiPAP machines, nebulizers, oxygen concentrators, and/or mechanical ventilators
• Inspect, test, and adjust home medical equipment to ensure it is functioning safely and efficiently
• Review prescription and patient information to assess condition and determine suitable treatment administration, compatible with physician orders
• Maintain patient records in a complete and organized manner in compliance with accreditation standards
• Maintain current knowledge of respiratory homecare techniques and relevant respiratory therapy concepts
• Work on-call after hours and weekends as needed
