Job summary

Lincare Holdings is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to set up home medical equipment such as ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP units, nebulizers, and oxygen concentrators, and to educate patients on proper usage.

The role requires travel to patient homes across the assigned territory, with on-call after hours and weekends as needed, and maintaining accurate patient records in line with accreditation standards.

Qualifications

• CRTs or RRTs certification active and licensed.
• Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
• Ability to travel to patient homes within territory.
• Knowledge of pulmonary function and pulmonary rehab.
• Strong verbal and written communication; proficient with computers.

Responsibilities

• Set up home medical equipment (ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP, nebulizers, oxygen concentrators, etc.).
• Inspect, test, and adjust equipment for safe operation.
• Review prescriptions and patient data to determine appropriate treatment.
• Maintain complete patient records per accreditation standards.
• Maintain current knowledge of respiratory homecare techniques.
• Work on-call after hours and on weekends as needed, based on center size and staffing.

Offering $35 to $45 per hour

Lincare is currently seeking aRespiratory Therapist to join our growing team. This employee is responsible for the setup of home medical equipment, including ventilators, monitors, CPAP/BiPAP units, and/or other related equipment. The employee will also educate and train patients on the proper usage of prescribed equipment.

Job Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and provide education on home medical equipment that includes, but is not limited to CPAP/BiPAP machines, nebulizers, oxygen concentrators, and/or mechanical ventilators
• Inspect, test, and adjust home medical equipment to ensure it is functioning safely and efficiently
• Review prescription and patient information to assess condition and determine suitable treatment administration, compatible with physician orders
• Maintain patient records in a complete and organized manner in compliance with accreditation standards
• Maintain current knowledge of respiratory homecare techniques and relevant respiratory therapy concepts
• Work on-call after hours and weekends as needed
  • Frequency is determined by center size and number of employees available to share

Qualifications

• In all states CRTs and RRTs are qualified for this position
• Must remain certified, registered, or licensed by the applicable state and/or national board governing clinical practice or as otherwise permitted by law
• Must have reliable personal vehicle to visit patients throughout assigned territory
  • Mileage reimbursement is provided
• Must maintain a valid driver's license and auto insurance in state of residence, per company policy
• In-depth knowledge of pulmonary function and pulmonary rehabilitation
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Must be computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

Physical Demands

• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
