Job summary

Medical City Arlington is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our NICU team on Nights with rotating weekends. You will deliver professional respiratory care, perform assessments, and participate in patient treatment plans with the nursing staff.

Responsibilities include supervising other personnel as needed, serving as a preceptor, and assisting as a charge nurse while maintaining patient safety and compassionate care in a high-acuity NICU environment.

Qualifications

• Required State Registered Respiratory Therapist certification and RRT/RCP credentials.
• Associate degree in respiratory care or related field.
• 1+ year NICU experience preferred.

• Deliver professional respiratory care to NICU patients.
• Perform assessments and coordinate care with nursing staff.
• Serve as preceptor and assist as charge nurse when needed.

Job Summary And Qualifications

The Registered Respiratory Therapist delivers professional nursing care to all patients in NICU. Performs assessment and acuity assignment; follows standard of care utilizing Nursing Process in delivery of care; maintains accountability for professional decisions and actions. Daily assignment of an RN may include supervision of other nursing personnel and/or students. Function as a preceptor and ability to function as a charge nurse. The employee performs all services as they may relate to patient care/treatment with consideration for age/condition of patient.

What Qualifications You Will Need

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date
• State Registered Respiratory Therapist
• RRT/Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT / RCP)
• Associate Degree
• 1+ year's experience in NICU preferred
