The Christ Hospital Health Network is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to deliver critical and non-critical patient care across age groups, using invasive and non-invasive cardiopulmonary techniques in inpatient and outpatient settings. You will demonstrate professionalism and practice within licensure scope.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, recordkeeping, patient education, and collaboration with physicians on cardiopulmonary status.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in a Respiratory Therapy program or awaiting CRT credentialing exam.
• EDUCATION: Actively enrolled in a Respiratory Therapy program or awaiting CRT credentialing exam.
• YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: None
• REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Entry level.

• Records all information in the patient record and maintains department records.
• Educates patients on disease states, home care modalities, and safety.
• Applies knowledge to consult physicians on cardiopulmonary status.
• Performs treatments as related to age-specific needs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Delivers critical and non critical patient care services to all age groups using selected invasive and non invasive techniques related to the cardiopulmonary system. Provides respiratory care in in-patient and out patient areas. Demonstrates a high level of commitment and professionalism. Must practice within scope of practice in accordance with the licensure act.

Responsibilities

• Performs and monitors patient progress and response to service. Assesses patients and makes appropriate recommendations based on outcomes with regard to therapeutic interventions. Performs invasive and noninvasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Performs treatments of a routine nature.
• Correctly records all information in the patient legal record and maintains department records.
• Educates patients on their diseases state, wellness, home care modalities and safety.
• Applies technical knowledge to consult physicians with regard to cardiopulmonary status.
• Treatments performed as related to age specific needs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
