Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, the Respiratory Therapist performs a variety of duties involving all aspects of respiratory care for patients ranging from infants to adults. The team works closely with patients, nurses, physicians, therapists, and other members of the healthcare team to provide safe, effective, and compassionate respiratory care. This per diem opportunity offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to provide hands-on clinical care across a diverse patient population while developing expertise in respiratory care procedures, equipment, patient assessment, emergency response, and cardiopulmonary support. The Respiratory Therapist plays an important role in patient safety, comfort, and outcomes through timely assessment, treatment, communication, and documentation.

Current Massachusetts Limited License in Respiratory Care required. Demonstrated knowledge and competency in respiratory care procedures within the scope of responsibility. Knowledge of respiratory care equipment, anatomy and physiology, gas laws, acid-base balance, basic pulmonary disease, pharmacology, safety, and infection control. Ability to assess patients, prioritize respiratory care needs, respond to emergency situations, and communicate effectively with the healthcare team. Ability to maintain accurate and complete patient documentation.
