Job summary

Qualifications

Graduation from an Associate Degree program in Respiratory Therapy approved by the New York State Board of Education or equivalent.
Possession of a current license to practice as a Respiratory Therapist in the State of New York.
Possession of current registration as a Respiratory Therapist issued by the National Board of Respiratory Care.

Responsibilities

Supervise day-to-day activities in the Respiratory Therapy Department.
Perform respiratory therapy procedures as required.
Identify quality assurance issues and ensure adherence to protocols and standards of care.
Provide in-service training related to respiratory therapy services.
Possibly participate in research related to respiratory care.
Provide clinical supervision in specialty care areas as assigned.
