Job summary

ChristianaCare is seeking a Respiratory Therapist III to join Wilmington Hospital on a full-time flex schedule (72 hours per pay period). The role leads at the bedside, advances evidence-based practice, mentors staff, and collaborates on critical care guidelines.

Shifts run 7:00am–7:00pm with every 3rd weekend and holiday required. Requirements include CoArc-approved schooling, 3+ years of critical care, and an active RRT credential; a bachelor’s degree is preferred or actively pursued.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CoArc approved School of Respiratory Therapy.
• Minimum of three years critical care experience required.
• Bachelor Degree required or actively enrolled in a degree program.
• Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.

Responsibilities

• Develops and collaborates to establish critical care practice guidelines, policies and procedures.
• Reviews and monitors critical care skills of staff and provides feedback to management.
• Serves as a resource for equipment/technology and provides in-servicing as needed.
• Leads research and process improvement initiatives.
• Engages with physicians in the specialty service area.
• Performs specialized procedures and mentors staff to ensure quality patient care.
