Job summary

Sentara Health is expanding its team at Sentara Obici Hospital in Suffolk, VA, seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a PRN night shift. You will deliver respiratory care, perform assessments, administer therapies, and document results for varied medical-surgical patients.

State licensure and NBRC RRT are required, with BLS at time of hire. New graduates must obtain NBRC RRT within 6 months; prior RT credentials accepted from military programs.

Responsibilities

Sentara Health is currently recruiting for Registered Respiratory Therapists to work at Sentara Obici Hospital in Suffolk, VA. This role is a PRN, Night shift position.

Sentara Obici Hospital is a state-of-the-art facility located in Suffolk, Virginia. This 172-bed, full-service hospital continues a legacy of providing residents of Western Tidewater with high-quality, patient-centered care. In June 2010, Sentara Obici opened a new three-story, 63,480 square-foot wing, which includes all private beds serving orthopedic, medical and surgical patients and increased the hospital’s bed capacity.

Required Qualifications:

Education

• Associates or Bachelor's degree required. Non degreed applicants with RRT credentials prior to January 1, 2006 and graduates from a military RT program with RRT credentials will also be considered.

Certification/Licensure

• State Respiratory license
• NBRC RRT
• BLS required at time of hire.
• For new graduates only, must have State license and BLS at time of hire, and must obtain NBRC RRT within 6 months of hire date.

• 1 year Respiratory Care experience preferred
