Job summary

Kettering Health Wilmington is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for part-time night shifts. You will perform advanced respiratory care across age groups, manage ventilation, and assist with procedures in a supportive hospital setting.

Candidate must hold an Ohio license as an Respiratory Care Practitioner, with BLS/ACLS and an accredited Respiratory Care degree. Prior RCP experience is preferred; safety and patient-focused care are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner (Ohio) required.
• Associate degree or higher in Respiratory Care from an accredited program.
• BLS and ACLS certifications preferred.
• One year of licensed practice preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical respiratory care for adults, geriatrics, and pediatrics.
• Operate ventilators and troubleshoot for patients.
• Deliver inhaled medications and manage gas delivery systems.
• Assist with bronchoscopy and arterial blood gas sampling.

Responsibilities & Requirements

• To perform with a high degree of competency all clinical aspects of respiratory care for all age groups (adult, geriatric, and pediatrics)
• Alveolar recruitment therapy
• Lung expansion therapy (Incentive spirometry)
• Aerosolized medication delivery systems
• Medical gas systems
• Ventilator initiation, management, and troubleshooting for adult and pediatric patients
• Bronchial hygiene therapy
• Arterial blood gas puncture, analysis and interpretation
• Non-invasive monitoring systems
• Infection control procedures
• Non-Invasive Ventilation
• Bronchoscopy assist
• Registered Respiratory Therapist
• Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner from the State of Ohio
• BLS and ACLS
• Graduate of Associate degree or higher accredited Respiratory Care program
• One year practice as a Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner preferred
• Must possess quality assessment skills and independent critical thinking, utilizing therapist driven protocols to drive appropriate patient care.
