Job summary

Bethany Center For Rehabilitation and Healing in Tennessee seeks a full-time Respiratory Therapist to join our geriatrics-focused team in a skilled nursing setting. The RT will assess residents, initiate therapies, document care, and operate equipment to support breathing and recovery.

The ideal candidate has COARC-accredited training and an active RRT/CRT license with BLS. You will collaborate with the IDT, provide bedside treatments, and participate in staff education and protocol adherence.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of COARC-accredited AS or BS in Respiratory Therapy and licensed as RRT or CRT.
  • Licensed in the state of practice with BLS certification.

Responsibilities

  • Performs assessments and delivers respiratory therapies to rehab patients with a range of conditions.
  • Initiate therapies, document patient records, and operate/assemble equipment.
  • Provide bedside respiratory treatments as prescribed.
  • Lead quarterly in-services for nursing staff.
  • Maintain daily/weekly/monthly documentation.
  • Attend interdisciplinary team (IDT) meetings.
  • Experience with tracheostomy care.
  • Experience in a long-term care setting.
  • Follow facility procedures and protocols.
  • Track, audit, and manage caseloads.
  • Perform related duties as required.
