Select Specialty Hospital in The Villages, Oxford, FL, is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RT) for a full-time role. The position offers hourly compensation ranging from $31.96 to $43.00, with a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

Responsibilities include evaluating patients, delivering respiratory care, and teaching families, with strong emphasis on quality improvement and patient-centered care. Requirements include NBRC credential (CRT/RRT), graduation proof, BLS, state licensure, and ACLS within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Must possess Active CRT or RRT credential from NBRC or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
• BLS certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS within 6 months of hire.

• Evaluate patients and recommend an appropriate treatment plan.
• Provide respiratory care to patients with critical and complex conditions.
• Perform insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promote continuous quality improvement.
• Teach and counsel patients and families.

Minimum Requirements

• Must possess "Active" CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required within 6 months of hire. (Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift, PRN staff must have ACLS upon hire).

Preferred Qualifications

• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.
