Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital Birmingham is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RT) to provide care for patients with critical and complex conditions on the Birmingham campus. The role includes evaluating patients, determining treatment plans, and managing endotracheal tube procedures in a fast-paced, night-shift setting.

Qualifications

• Active CRT or RRT credential NBRC or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation required: transcript/diploma or GED.
• BLS certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS within 6 months of hire (agency RT must have ACLS on first shift; PRN staff must have ACLS on hire).

Responsibilities

Position: Respiratory Therapist (RT)
Location: Birmingham, AL (3rd floor of Brookwood Baptist Medical Center)
Schedule: Full-Time Night Shift - 6:30 pm to 7:00 am
Compensation: $28.98 to $39.00 per hour, based on years of experience
(Competitive shift differentials for nights and weekends)
Sign-On Bonus: $10,000

Minimum Requirements

• Must possess "Active" CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required within 6 months of hire. (Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift, PRN staff must have ACLS upon hire).

Preferred Qualifications

• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.
