Inova Specialty Hospital in Alexandria, VA seeks a Respiratory Therapist (RT) to join our clinical team on full-time day and night shifts. Compensation ranges from $41.22 to $55.50 per hour with a $20,000 sign-on bonus.

You will evaluate patients, provide respiratory care for critical and complex cases, and support families while advancing professionally through orientation, tuition reimbursement, clinical ladder, and robust benefits.

Qualifications

• Active NBRC credential required (CRT or RRT) or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation: college diploma or transcript; high school diploma or GED accepted.
• Current BLS certification by start date.
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire (agency staff ACLS on first shift; PRN staff ACLS on hire).

Responsibilities

• Evaluating patients and recommending an appropriate treatment plan.
• Providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
• Performing insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promoting continuous quality improvement.
• Teaching and counseling patients/families.

Minimum requirements:

• Must possess "Active" CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required within 6 months of hire. (Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift, PRN staff must have ACLS upon hire).

Preferred qualifications:

• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.
