Job summary

A healthcare organization based in Kentucky seeks a Full-Time Respiratory Therapist. You will provide care for adult patients, operating respiratory care equipment, and conducting physician-prescribed treatments. The role demands a valid Respiratory Practitioner license and BLS certification, with ACLS required within 90 days. Qualifications

• Licensed to practice by the state as a Respiratory Practitioner.
• Must have BLS upon hire and obtain ACLS certification within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate respiratory care equipment for diagnosis and treatment.
• Explain procedures to patients and document education given.
• Conduct physician-prescribed treatments including nebulizer therapy.
• Monitor ventilators and participate in the weaning process.
• Ensure maintenance during CPR and intubate when necessary.
• Record treatments and patient responses accurately.
• Perform trach care and change out trach tubes as necessary.
• Report patient condition to relief personnel.
