Job summary

Mercy South in Missouri is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to perform direct patient care across all areas of respiratory care per physician orders, and to consult on therapy effectiveness. The role rotates to the NICU and broader units as needed, serving as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing staff.

This full-time night-shift position offers a $20,000 bonus for RRTs. Requirements include a CoARC-approved Respiratory Care program, NBRC RRT credential, current RCP license,

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CoARC approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• RRT credential (NBRC). PALS required for ER.
• ACLS preferred; NICU rotation during assignment.
• Ability to push/pull up to 50 lbs and kneel/crouch/crawl.

Position Details:

Full Time - 36 hours/week, Night Shift

$20,000 Bonus for RRTs

All Part- and Full-Time RTs will train on and be assigned to the NICU on a rotating basis.

Overview:

Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care, according to physician's orders. Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy. Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care. Performs duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education: Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.

Licensure: Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.

Certifications: Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). For co-workers who work in the Emergency Room PALS is required.

Other: Physical demands are attached plus push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs. Plus, pinch up to 10 lbs., kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally.

Equipment Used: All appropriate respiratory care devices.

Preferred Education: Acute Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)Preferred Licensure:

Preferred Experience: Prefer critical care experience.
