Job summary

Aspirus Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join the float team serving Eagle River, Woodruff, Rhinelander and Tomahawk areas in northern Wisconsin. The role involves monitoring, diagnostics and therapy under medical direction for adult and geriatric patients.

Ideal candidates hold an AMA-approved respiratory care education, a Wisconsin license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner, and NBRC RRT or registry eligibility within one year of hire; BLS is required or obtained soon after hire.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of respiratory care standards and protocols.
• Active Wisconsin Respiratory Care Practitioner license required.
• Registered RRT by the NBRC, or registry eligible within 1 year of hire.
• Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory and cardiopulmonary monitoring, diagnostics and therapy under medical direction.
• Assist in orientation training of hospital staff, students and the public regarding respiratory care.
• Provide respiratory care to adult and geriatric patients.
• Interpret patient information and assess treatment needs by age group.
