Job summary

Yale NewHaven Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide bedside respiratory care under physician orders in RI. You will be part of the Cardio-pulmonary Services team, supporting patients both in-house and outpatients.

The role requires RI licensure, BLS, and RRT or CRT with an 18-month pathway to RRT. Expect collaboration with Code and MET teams and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited respiratory therapy program with RRT or CRT pathway.
• Must be registered or eligible for RI licensure; BLS certification.
• Demonstrates compassion, professionalism and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Provides bedside respiratory care as assigned and per physician orders.
• Collaborates with Code Team and MET team on patient care.
• Familiar with measuring devices and ventilation support equipment.
• Sets up and maintains CPAP/BiPAP therapy and related devices.
• Participates in staff meetings, lectures, and continuing education.
• Maintains respectful and professional environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications

EDUCATION

Graduate of accredited School of Respiratory Therapy with credential of Registered Respiratory Therapist or credential of a Certified Respiratory Therapist with eighteen months to obtain RRT credential.

EXPERIENCE

Must be registered or registry eligible, certified or certification eligible.

LICENSURE

BLS and a current RI license.
