Job summary

Castleview Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (CRT) to join our team in Price, Utah. This full-time role focuses on delivering high-quality respiratory care and collaborating with physicians to develop and implement treatment plans.

You will perform therapies, measure lung function, educate patients, respond to respiratory emergencies, and participate in performance improvement and continuing education.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in respiratory therapy is required.
• Current CRT or RRT license in state of practice.
• BLS required; ACLS, PALS and NRP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Examine patients and conduct diagnostic respiratory testing.
• Develop and implement treatment plans with physicians.
• Perform therapies and educate patients on respiratory health.
• Monitor lung function and respond to changes in patient condition.
• Educate patients and families about illness management and resources.
• Participate in performance improvement and continuing education.

Schedule

this is a full-time role.

How You'll Contribute

• Examines patients with breathing-related conditions and conducts diagnostic testing.
• Consults with physicians to develop and implement treatment plans.
• Performs therapies and educates patients on medication use and respiratory health.
• Measures lung capacity and analyzes blood samples using a blood gas analyzer. Performs bedside PFTs, EKGs, and tobacco cessation education as ordered.
• Delivers and evaluates patient response to therapy per plan of care. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition appropriately.
• Responds to codes and emergent calls for respiratory assistance. Provides rapid assessment and appropriate intervention.
• Educates patients and families about illness management and community resources.
• Evaluates respiratory care policies and procedures based on outcomes, research, and best practices.
• Stocks and distributes respiratory care supplies and medical gas cylinders; maintains storage areas with required levels and equipment.
• Cleans, sterilizes, maintains, and calibrates equipment.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts/units as needed.

What We're Looking For

Education: Associate's degree in respiratory therapy required.

License/Certifications

Current CRT or RRT license in state of practice; BLS required; ACLS, PALS, and NRP preferred.
