Job summary

Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield, IN is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to deliver aerosolized meds, oxygen therapy, and ventilatory support, and to document care in the patient chart.

The role requires collaborating with physicians, coordinating with home care providers, and educating patients and staff. CRT or RRT certification and Indiana license are required; ACLS within 6 months, PALS and NRP within 1 year.

Qualifications

• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• Indiana licensure as Respiratory Therapist.
• ACLS within 6 months of hire and remain current.
• PALS and NRP within 1 year of hire and remain current.
• Mandatory Continuing Education: Infection Control, Corporate Compliance, Fire and Safety.

Responsibilities

• Deliver aerosolized medication, oxygen therapy, and ventilation as ordered; document care in patient chart.
• Initiate non-invasive and invasive ventilation and participate in CPR events.
• Coordinate with DME for home respiratory care needs; perform after-hours EKGs and PFTs; educate patients, families, and staff.
• Maintain equipment readiness and uphold hospital policies; demonstrate teamwork and patient‑first attitude.

Education

Respiratory Care Program Credentialed or eligible by the National Board for Respiratory Care
