Job summary

Crosswalk Health is hiring Respiratory Therapists (CRT/RRT) and Pulmonary Function Technologists (CPFT/RPFT) to perform simple spirometry testing at primary care clinics in the Indianapolis region. These roles are 1099 contractor positions with competitive daily pay, enabling clinical independence within a supportive team.

Ideal candidates will have bedside spirometry experience, be comfortable traveling to clinics, and be able to work a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Current CRT, RRT, CPFT, or RPFT credential.
• Experience performing bedside spirometry or pulmonary function testing.
• Knowledge of respiratory therapy practices and safe albuterol administration.
• Comfortable commuting to clinics throughout a region.
• Available to work a flexible schedule.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Visit local primary care clinics to perform pre- and post-bronchodilator spirometry testing.
• Educate and coach patients to ensure accurate, high-quality results.
• Safely administer albuterol when indicated and monitor patients throughout testing.
• Grade and upload completed testing for pulmonologist review.
• Maintain testing equipment and follow quality and safety standards.
• Build trusted relationships with patients and clinic teams while representing Crosswalk Health with professionalism and compassion.

We’re hiring Respiratory Therapists (CRT or RRT) and Pulmonary Function Technologists (CPFT or RPFT) to perform simple spirometry testing (pre/post albuterol) at primary care clinics throughout Indianapolis *.

*These positions are expected to begin in January 2027, with onboarding and training taking place in November and December 2026.

Compensation

$245–300 per day paid biweekly; additional supplemental compensation may be available based on experience, tenure with Crosswalk Health, and region served.
