Research Medical Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to perform diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory procedures under physician direction. The role involves managing respiratory equipment, assisting with resuscitation, and educating patients across all age groups.

The position requires NBRC-CRT or equivalent certification, with ACLS and BCLS within specified timeframes, and an emphasis on safety and infection control in a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• ACLS must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• NBRC-CRT or CRT/RRT/RCP certification, or an associate/bachelor degree in respiratory therapy.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory procedures as ordered by a physician.
• Operate and maintain respiratory and cardiopulmonary equipment.
• Assist with cardiopulmonary resuscitation and patient education.
• Complete patient documentation in department records and electronic systems.
• Maintain safety and infection control practices.
