Ochsner Health in New Orleans is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for the Baptist NICU nights shift. You will provide respiratory care, oxygen therapy, diagnostic testing and ventilation support for patients from neonatal to geriatric ages, in-patients and out-patients.

The role involves operating RT-CRT setups, monitoring, weaning oxygen therapy, drawing and reporting ABGs and EKGs, and assisting with artificial airways as ordered by physicians.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher in Respiratory Therapy.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide respiratory care, oxygen services, diagnostic testing and ventilation support for patients from neonatal to geriatric.
• Operate RT-CRT setups, monitor and wean oxygen therapy and ventilation.
• Draw, analyze and report ABGs and EKGs; assist with airway management as ordered.

The RT-CRT set-ups, monitors and weans Oxygen Therapy and Artificial ventilation. The RT-CRT draws, analyzes and reports Arterial Blood Gases and EKGs. The RT-CRT delivers intermittent therapy and assists with changing of artificial airways. The RT-CRT provides services as ordered by a physician and in accordance with established policies and procedures.
