Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to deliver comprehensive respiratory care in accordance with department policy and procedures at Chester County Hospital. You will manage ventilators, airway devices, ABGs, and aerosol therapies for patients from neonatal to adult populations.

The role emphasizes safety, evidence-based practice, mentoring students, and contributions to quality improvement within a leading academic medical center.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of respiratory care experience in acute care setting.
• Current license to practice Respiratory Care in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
• RRT or CRT certification required.
• BLS is required; ACLS and PALS within 6 months of hire.
• NRP required within 1 year for NICU assignments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver all aspects of respiratory care per department policy and procedures.
• Ventilator and airway management for adult, pediatric, and infant patients.
• ABG acquisition and medication delivery; equipment maintenance as needed.
• Assess oxygen and medication requirements and adjust therapies.
• Mentor students and participate in staff development and quality improvement.
• Participate in Rapid Response Team and support patient safety initiatives.
