Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System in Grove City, Ohio is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT) for a part-time, 12-hour night shift with a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

The RT provides therapeutic procedures and diagnostic testing, documents patient assessments, collaborates with physicians, and precepts students and new staff.

Minimum qualifications include completion of a Respiratory Care Program, Ohio license with NBRC credentials (RRT/CRT), and current BLS certification.

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT), within the Ohio Scope of Practice, provides therapeutic procedures and diagnostic testing to chronically and acutely ill patientsrequiringrespiratory procedures.

What You Will Do:

• Provide Respiratory Care, ensure an environment of patient safety, promote evidence-based practice and qualityinitiativesand exhibit professionalism in the care of patients and their families.
• Perform duties or responsibilities outside the normalroutinecare of the patient.
• Initiate and administer therapeutic procedures, diagnostictestsand educationin accordance withdepartmental policy and procedures.
• Record information/patient assessment on the patient’s medical record and maintain departmental records.
• Precept new employees as requested andparticipateinstudentsclinical rotations.
• Demonstrate knowledge of and ability tomaintainrespiratory therapy equipment.
• Communicatepertinent clinical information and collaborate with physicians, house staff and other health care disciplinesregardingpatient care,treatmentand/or plan of care.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Successful completion of a2 or 4 yearRespiratory Care Program, or completion ofadditionaleducational requirements allowing eligibility to obtain registry credentials.
• Licensure / Certification: Ohio Respiratory Care Professional License to practice in the State of Ohio and National Board of Respiratory Care credential indicating RRT or CRT
• Experience: Clinical experience in adult and neonatal respiratory therapy procedures such as aerosolized delivery of medication, mechanical ventilation,assistingwith intubations andextubations, pulmonary function studies, emergency care, and obtaining and interpreting arterial blood gases.
• Maintain current BLS certification.
