Respiratory Therapist - $5,000.00 SIGN ON BONUS

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the overall clinical, technical and administrative functions at the location regarding the Home Respiratory Therapist program.
• Installation and delivery of respiratory therapist equipment and provision of all needed supplies and products to patients in the home, including ongoing assessment of patients and equipment.
• Clinical contact with physicians, referred contacts, health care practitioners, and others involved in patient care for home respiratory therapist services.
• Maintenance of records, charting, progress notes, clinical files, equipment records, preventative maintenance records, and other documentation.
• Maintain accurate inventory of all Sleep Management/VieMed assets and supplies.
• Vehicle maintenance and service (paid for by Sleep Management, LLC d/b/a VieMed) and ensuring the vehicle is maintained per applicable accreditation standards.
• Periodic updating of all pertinent demographic information with any change in personal or professional status.
• Oversight of all applicable regulatory rules and guidelines as they pertain to staff respiratory therapists.
• Orientation and training of subordinate or newly hired respiratory therapist staff service technicians.
• Exhibit effective written and verbal communication skills; adhere to cost‑containment policies and procedures.
• Work with office staff to ensure prompt and accurate billing and documentation of services, providing adequate information to satisfy third‑party payer guidelines.
• Collaborate with clinical, managerial, and sales staff to promote and market home respiratory therapist services to all referral sources.
• Ensure proper, accurate, and safe operation of all equipment prior to installation.
• Provide availability for patient contact and response to patient needs.
• Participate in rotating on‑call schedule with fellow RTs in the area.
• Coordinate with team members (other RTs, PCCs, and various departments) to ensure tasks are completed.
• Other duties/projects as assigned.

Physical Demands

• Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment

• Requires employee to go into patient homes to set‑up and service medical devices.

Education and Experience

• Medical or respiratory experience.
• A valid Respiratory Therapist license in the state in which you practice.
