Responsibilities

• Assess, treat, and monitor patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary conditions.
• Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and respiratory treatments.
• Operate and monitor ventilators and other respiratory support equipment.
• Perform pulmonary function tests and arterial blood gas sampling.
• Respond to respiratory emergencies and participate in rapid response teams.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care, medications, and equipment use.
• Monitor patient response to therapy and report changes to the healthcare team.
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation.
• Ensure infection control, safety protocols, and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.

Shift Details:

• Any 2 days within Mon-Fri 7:30AM-4PM (30)

• 1 Day Orientation 8AM-4PM

Respiratory Therapist Duties & Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).

• Ensure compliance with infection control, safety protocols, and regulatory standards.

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current, valid, and unrestricted CA license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.

• Minimum 1+ year within the last 3 years as Respiratory Therapist.

• CDCR or CERNER experience required.

• Additional certifications may be required

• Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.

• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements).
