Salem Regional Medical Center in Salem, OH, seeks a Full Time Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join the Salem Home Medical department. The role delivers cardio-pulmonary procedures and patient care under supervision to support a viable department.

The ideal candidate is an Ohio-licensed Respiratory Therapist with solid knowledge of respiratory procedures, sterile techniques, and medical terminology. Excellent decision-making and emergency response skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Accredited program in Respiratory Care and certification/registration.
• Licensed by the state of Ohio.
• Strong knowledge of respiratory procedures and sterile techniques.
• Ability to prioritize, work independently and respond to emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Perform Cardio Pulmonary Procedures under supervision to support department viability.
• Care for patients across age groups (adolescents to geriatrics) and address age-specific needs.
• Prioritize tasks and respond quickly in emergencies as directed.

Position: Full Time Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Department: Salem Home Medical

Shift: Days

PURPOSE

The primary purpose of your job position as CPS/Respiratory Care Professional (RCP) is to perform assigned duties in an effective manner, in accordance with established policies and procedures, and as directed by your supervisor to assure that a successful viable department is maintained at all times.

Under the direction of the Director of Cardio Pulmonary and Rehabilitation Services, performs a variety of Cardio Pulmonary Procedures without constant supervision. Must care for a patient population, which includes adolescents and geriatrics; therefore must be able to identify the special needs of each patient according to age and respond accordingly. Assumes responsibility for assigned areas and/or procedures/treatments and performs other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Successful completion of an accredited program in Respiratory Care and is a Certified or Registered Therapist.
• Must be licensed by the state of Ohio.
• Has complete understanding of all common respiratory procedures and sterile techniques.
• Should possess basic knowledge of how a respiratory department functions.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology is required.
• Must be able to prioritize and work independently.
• Must be able to function effectively and efficiently in emergencies.
• Must be able to make quick decisions when necessary.
