Accolade Healthcare is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to promote and restore patients' health within a team-based setting in Illinois. The role involves respiratory assessments, monitoring, and clinical intervention for residents under care, with independence and collaboration as needed.

Ideal candidates hold CRT or RRT credentials, an active Illinois license, and CPR certification; ACLS is preferred. This on-site position offers a comprehensive benefits package and room for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Active CRT or RRT credentials.
• Active license in good standing with the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.
• CPR certified; ACLS preferred.
• Experience in Long Term Care is preferred.
• Experience in Home Health, LTACH, or sub-acute settings is a plus.
• This position is not a remote position.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality patient evaluation.
• Provide thorough medical record evaluation.
• Provide appropriate treatment to maintain or restore respiratory function.
• Evaluate, treat, and care for residents with respiratory problems including tracheostomies.
• Evaluate resident care and outcomes related to respiratory care and adjust the plan as needed.
• Recommend and/or provide treatments to prevent decline in respiratory function.
• Manage and wean supplemental oxygen.
• Manage and wean tracheostomies.
• Assist with pulmonary rehabilitation modalities.
• Operate respiratory care equipment safely and effectively.
• Participate in staff education and maintain respiratory supply stock.
• Assist nursing staff as required and handle all other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a vital role in promoting and restoring patients' health. Your responsibilities include respiratory assessments, monitoring, clinical intervention for patients under our care. This role is designed for a Respiratory Therapist who is confident working independently, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team, and assisting in the reduction of avoidable hospital readmissions.

Pay Rate

Pay Rate: $35-$40 per hour

Duties And Responsibilities

As a Respiratory Therapist, your responsibilities include:

• Provide quality patient evaluation
• Provide thorough medical record evaluation
• Provide appropriate treatment to help residents maintain or attain the highest level of respiratory function possible within the confines of his/her physical condition
• Evaluate, treat, and care for residents with respiratory problems including but not limited to those with tracheostomies including the administration of bland aerosols and suctioning
• Evaluate resident care and resident outcomes as they relate to respiratory care; analyze outcomes and make recommendations for changes in the plan of care based upon the analysis
• Recommend and/or provide appropriate treatment and preventative measures to prevent decline in resident's respiratory function
• Management and weaning of supplemental oxygen
• Management and weaning of trachs
• Assist with pulmonary rehab modalities
• Perform all aspects of direct respiratory patient care
• Provide appropriate resident or caregiver education to help residents maintain or attain the highest level of respiratory function possible within the confines of his/her physical abilities
• Operate respiratory care equipment safely and effectively
• Participate in providing staff education
• Maintain appropriate respiratory supply stock
• Assist nursing staff when required
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications And Skills

To excel as a Respiratory Therapist (CRT/RRT), you will need:
