Job summary

Encompass Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join our Rehabilitation Care team in Florida. You will provide direct patient care, administer medical gas therapies, breathing treatments, and related medications, and guide patients toward independence as part of a compassionate, multidisciplinary group.

You'll supervise care, create personalized care plans, assess progress, document outcomes, and collaborate with physicians and therapists to optimize recovery.

Qualifications

• Current State License in Respiratory Therapy.
• CPR certification.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Two years hospital experience in Respiratory Therapy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct care to patients in need of medical gas, breathing therapy modality, and medication.
• Guiding patients by supervising care and breathing treatments, leading patient assessments, creating personalized care plans, and targeting and resolving patient concerns.
• Building meaningful relationships with patients by dedicating time to understand their physical, mental, and emotional needs for a successful recovery.
• Celebrating patient victories along the way.
