Job summary

Horan Hiring Solutions, LLC seeks a Respiratory Therapist for a community-focused hospital in Ohio. The role covers night shifts (6:30 PM–7:00 AM) with a 36-hour week and every 3rd weekend rotation. You will administer therapies, manage ventilators, and perform procedures across age groups.

Requires active Ohio license, CRT/RRT, and NRP; BLS/ACLS/PALS; 3+ years preferred. Monday–Friday schedule on benefits may apply.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Respiratory Therapy.
• NBRC Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• Current, active State of Ohio Respiratory Therapist License.
• BLS certified; ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in cardiopulmonary services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments across all patient age groups, including pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric populations.
• Set up, manage, and monitor mechanical ventilators, including airway management and tracheal suctioning.
• Perform emergency intubation and airway management for patients of all ages.
• Maintain knowledge of oxygen delivery methods and monitor for side effects.
• Perform arterial punctures for blood gas analysis and understand complications.
• Perform EKGs and transmit reports to physicians.
• Inspect, test, and operate respiratory therapy equipment.
• Assess patient status and adjust care plans accordingly.
• Document all pertinent data in the PCN after services.
• Develop patient/family teaching plans and evaluate learning.
• Participate in on-call rotation and weekend rotations.
• Attend staff meetings, educational programs, QI activities and in-services.

Respiratory Therapist

Compensation: $29 to $40/hour+ 25K SOB + Shift Differential

Job Type: Full-Time, 36 hrs/week | Every 3rd weekend rotation | 6:30 PM-7:00 AM

A community-focused hospital in Ohio is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join their Respiratory Care Services team on the night shift.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments across all patient age groups, including pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric populations
• Set up, manage, and monitor mechanical ventilators, including all associated critical care duties (airway management, tracheal suctioning)
• Perform emergency intubation and airway management for patients of all ages
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of oxygen delivery methods and equipment; monitor for potential side effects
• Perform arterial punctures for blood gas analysis; understand associated complications and contraindications
• Perform EKGs and transmit reports to ordering and attending physicians per department protocol
• Inspect, test, and safely operate all respiratory therapy equipment to ensure proper function
• Assess patient status, tolerance for treatment, and response; reassess and adjust care plans accordingly
• Document all pertinent data in the PCN following completion of services
• Develop patient and family teaching plans based on identified learning needs; evaluate learning effectiveness
• Participate in on-call rotation and every 3rd weekend rotation
• Participate in staff meetings, educational programs, QI activities, committees, and mandatory in-services
• Demonstrate initiative in personal and professional development; present a professional image at all times

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Respiratory Therapy
• NBRC Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), licensed by the Ohio Respiratory Care Board
• Current, active State of Ohio Respiratory Therapist License (required)
• BLS certified; ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
• Successful completion of Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• 3+ years of experience in all aspects of cardiopulmonary services preferred
• Strong interpersonal, leadership, and documentation skills
• Physical stamina for an active clinical environment: walking, bending, stooping, and lifting up to ~50 lbs
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education
