Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Reading is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join our care team in Reading, PA. You will provide respiratory therapies and direct care that improve patient independence and outcomes.

Experience with breathing treatments, patient assessments, and care planning will help you succeed; ACLS and CPR are valued, with supportive leadership and opportunities for growth in a large national post‑acute system.

Qualifications

• Current State License in Respiratory Therapy.
• CPR certification.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Two years hospital experience in Respiratory Therapy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to patients requiring medical gas, breathing therapies, and medication.
• Supervise care and breathing treatments; lead patient assessments and create personalized care plans.
• Develop and document patient progress; address concerns to support recovery.
• Build relationships with patients to support holistic well‑being and outcomes.
